The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.
In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do, to identify your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the charging base. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is in place it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal or two thorough maps of your home to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however iRobot claims that future models will be better.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an advanced filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. We think this is a nice claim, but not enough to justify a higher price.
Its smart navigation system employs sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your whole home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only drawback is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.
In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones create little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without distraction. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move away whenever it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden from view and cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something needs attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.
You can also create or merge actual rooms in order to alter the way Q Revo treats your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's some clutter that must be cleared out frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo with all the features you could wish for. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties the mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also features a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it charges faster and can handle a complete cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.
Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can manage it even when not at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined path.
The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and website a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well and it enhances suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing an excellent job. It also has a huge battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as any we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that has a range of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring, and it's one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although these features are great, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury and could mean it's slightly more expensive than some homeowners require.
It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine has a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find one button that serves as the on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will shut it off and send it back to its base station. The control panel includes the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open the settings menu of the app where you can tweak how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your house. This creates a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively and avoid getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
