The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's priced in the middle. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.
In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard flooring. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the touch of one button. You can opt for an overall clean that focuses on the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough mappings of your home to ensure that your home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration that blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think this is a nice claim but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and set up virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on more expensive models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only issue is that it doesn't have a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's a small price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three cycles even when you've got a lot of dirt.
For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it and moves forward.
What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something is in need of attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.
You can also create or merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, taking debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that is able to better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.
The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that works even if you are not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined route.
The X2 Omni is the top mopping robot. Its mop pads that rotate scrub away tough stains, and its motor creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too and it increases suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types, and it's one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although read more these features are nice to have but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury and could mean it's slightly more expensive than the average homeowner require.
Created to look like a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish accented by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there's a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open up the settings menu in which you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your house. This produces a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for families with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops are also quite efficient, clearing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
