Although Anker-owned Eufy has earned a name for itself in the field of low-cost robot vacuums, it's not yet an all-in-one model which can also mop. The X8 Hybrid is a new model that has a wide range of features that are advanced and can compete with much more expensive models.
Eufy's main selling point with this machine is its laser navigation. The previous Eufy devices have constructed a rough map of your home using infrared sensors and bumping into objects however the X8's laser mapping system is more precise. It also takes significantly less time to construct an accurate map of your home and can store multiple maps, which is ideal for multi-floor homes.
The X8 is a good vacuum cleaner for floors with no dust. It is able to effortlessly sling debris through the side brushes and into its 400ml dust bin. Its tyres are adept at hugging edges and corners, even though they're circular. It's not the best cat litter picker, though, with our tests showing it can only remove about 90 percent of the fur off hard floors.
There's a basic mopping option that uses the same water tank as the vacuuming one. This is great for spills that aren't too dangerous, but you are unable to control the amount of water it uses. It took in 98.5 percent of surface litter and embedded pet hair from our laboratory test samples.
The controls are more basic than those of the competition; there's an uniform cleaning button on the top and you can launch it via the app or by voice command with Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also set a schedule for daily or weekly cleans, create no-go zones, and see the history of its cleaning. Clad in smart dark gray plastics, Ion feels sturdy and is attractive in your home. The Roomba is the flagship model of iRobot's robot vacuum. It's pricey, but it's a top performer and arguably the most advanced robot vacuum you can buy. Its self-navigating features and environmental mapping are a wonder to behold. It has more advanced automation than its rivals, for instance the ability to create virtual boundary markers with its mobile app. It's a capable robot vacuum, even if its app is a bit sluggish and the 980's wheels spin out when it comes across cables.
