The Eufy Robot Vacuum Review
Eufy is a household name for its easy-to-use robot vacuums. Eufy's RoboVac 30C model is Wi-Fi-enabled and includes the remote control for simple app operation. It also has boundary strips and a battery life of 100 minutes.
Its Boost IQ Technology is able to move from wood, tile and area rugs to low-pile and area rug. Other standard features include obstacle and drop detection which allow it to avoid bumping against furniture and walls.
Boost IQ Technology
The eufy robot vacuum line offers a wide variety of models, but there are some features that are common across their line. One such feature is Boost IQ technology specifically designed to aid your robot move seamlessly from hard floors to low to medium-pile carpeting and area rug. It will automatically increase suction power when it runs across a specific type of surface to ensure that you get the best possible clean.
Another great feature is the ability to change between various cleaning modes. These include Quick Clean, which is perfect for a 30 minute fast sweep of your floor, Auto, which will operate in an open space without having to switch modes, Edge, which will specifically focus on your walls and corners and Spot which is the best when there's a small area that requires extra attention, such as spilled baking soda.
Of course, the eufy robot also has the basic capabilities like drop and obstacle detection as well as a self-emptying base. The majority of robots come with an obstacle and drop detection system. This prevents them hitting walls or furniture.
Many of the eufy robotics have a variety LED indicators that communicate with you, much like a digital watch. A solid green signal means that the robot is in standby or charging mode. Blue indicates that it is functioning and on. A solid orange signalizes that your eufy has ran out of power and requires to go back to its home base.
The RoboVac 11S, a top-rated robot vacuum, is ideal for those looking for a robust robot with a long running time. It also has the ability to get to the most remote corners of your house. Its slim design is a good fit under furniture or in tight spaces. It also comes with a scratch-resistant tempered glass cover. There's also physical controls, smart sensors to help with navigation, as well as various cleaning modes. It's not equipped with some of the more advanced features of other models, including digital maps or apps-based controls.
Powerful Suction
A powerful 2,000-pa suction level makes this vacuum ideal for picking up food chunks cereal crumbs, food particles, and other dirt or dust that accumulate on hard floors as well as low- to medium-pile carpeting. It also sucks up pet hair as well as other allergens from furniture that is upholstered. A rotating side brush can help reach into corners and along baseboards, while the brush that rolls pulls up dirt and other debris that clings to surfaces.
The 25C is WiFi-connected, and can be controlled via an app on your smartphone. It can also be controlled with voice commands when paired with an Amazon Echo or Google Assistant smart home speaker. It also comes with a small charging station that can hold the vacuum cleaner while not being used.
All Eufy robot vacuums have several standard features, including drop and obstacle detection to prevent it from hitting things or falling down the stairs. Some models, like the eufy RoboVac11S and its re-engineered version, the eufyRoboVac 30C MAX also come with advanced navigation systems that create and keep a virtual map of your floors so it can know where to go (and which areas to stay clear of) every time it cleans.
You can set up specific areas and customize cleaning cycles for the eufy robot vacuum without the Alexa compatible app or voice controls. You can also separate areas that are sensitive, like those containing your children's toys or console tables. The eufy comes with two boundary strips which allow you to fence off larger spaces.
The eufy RoboVac 11S Max is one of our most efficient robotic vacuums, receiving top marks in both navigation and cleaning. Its design is simple, with only one button to get it going and an on/off switch beneath for a continuous shut-off. It also comes with an tempered-glass surface with ten sensors that help steer away from obstacles, and it has a 0.15 gallons/0.6 liter dust bin. The new navigation system is equipped with iPath technology, which creates and stores a map of your floor. It then uses that map to quickly navigate to each area of the house and ensure that it covers every inch of your floor.
Convenient App Control
Eufy's models are equipped with smart features that let you control your device remotely. This includes the ability to set cleaning times, define virtual boundaries that block your robot from entering certain areas (such as rooms stuffed with electrical cords), and set the'return to base' feature. Some allow you to create an outline of your home and mark the areas you want to clean.
The top eufy robotic cleaners include a special navigation system, referred to as'smart mapping'. It scans your home's floors and creates a map it uses every cleaning. This allows the vacuum to effortlessly move from floors that are not clean to area rugs and then back again without skipping any steps.
The RoboVac 25C is a fantastic example of this model. It has three suction power settings that can be selected through the companion app "Standard", "Turbo" which improves the machine's performance in cleaning floors with no dust and "Max", which is designed to clean high-pile flooring.
Its battery performance is also impressive it allows the vacuum to run for as long as 100 minutes in its standard Standard mode. The vacuum has an inbuilt indicator for the battery that flashes blue while it is charging, then turns orange when power is low, and then is fully charged and solid blue.
Another cool feature is the "Spot Cleaning' mode that allows you to force the vacuum to concentrate on a tiny localized area by pressing a button on its base. This is ideal for getting crumbs or pet hair out of corners or from under furniture where a traditional vacuum would be unable to reach.
The elegant RoboVac is also a great job at removing pet hair on different flooring types, but it might need several more passes to remove hairy patches that are difficult to remove from carpeting with a high or low pile. It's not as adept in taking hair off of cracks and crevices in carpeted floors as it is for naked floors. However it does an excellent job picking up pet fur from both naked and covered surfaces.
100 Minutes of Cleaning
The eufy robot vacuum provides an impressive 100 minutes of clean-up, with a self-return to its base to charge. It's able of working on several floors and comes with a powerful suction unit that can take everything from chunks of cereal to glitter specks in a matter of minutes. It has a sturdy brush roll and an additional brush that helps it reach crevices and corners that other robots might not be able to access.
The battery-powered robo vacuum works on carpets and hard floors and can be activated via the remote control included or using your smart home or smartphone assistant to transmit commands via Wi-Fi. You can also alter the Boost IQ feature that optimizes suction power according to the kind of floor it is working on.
The G30 Edge, like other eufy robotics, is designed to move around your home in a simple manner. Simply attach the edge brush rotating and connect to your Wi-Fi network in less than a minute. Once connected to the internet, you can use the app to create a cleaning schedule and voice commands through the compatible smart speaker.
This level of customization is offered on a wide range of eufy robotic vacuum cleaners. You can choose which areas you'd like to clean and when. The app lets you create virtual boundaries that block the robot from getting into areas where there might be electrical cords, or other obstacles.
Some models from Eufy come with an intuitive map that uses sensors that determine the position of furniture and walls and plots a route to cover them. Some models employ a more advanced navigational technology called iPath. In these cases, the robotic vacuum mop cleaner robot vacuum applies an algorithm to generate an iPath path, and then follows it until the specified area is fully covered. The robot returns to its dock, from where it is charged and awaiting its next cleaning.
Other models of eufy's robotic vacuums don't have this level of intelligence. The entry-level models, which are usually the most affordable in the line-up they don't have a digital mapping system but instead draw an unpredictably zig-zag route every time they begin a cleaning session. While this may be frustrating but the eufy robot cleaner will always cover the same areas. It is also not able to miss corners or other difficult-to-access areas.
